FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing carbon-containing electroconductive material includes mixing starting carbon-containing material with aluminium oxide, the starting carbon-containing material used being petroleum semicoke or high-temperature sinter or medium-temperature sinter, content of volatile substances in the starting carbon-containing material is not less than 14%; heating the mixture to temperature not higher than 1500°C without access to air; the amount of aluminium oxide is 8-30 wt % of the total weight of the mixture of the carbon-containing electroconductive material obtained after heating.

EFFECT: producing electroconductive material which ensures high heating temperature, having stable electrical properties.
