FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in manufacture of supercapacitors, sensory materials, adsorbents, carriers for catalytic agents. Mixture is prepared containing 50–100 mass % of medium- or high-temperature coal tar pitch, or petroleum pitch, or shale pitch and 0–50 mass % melamine. Resulting mixture is heated to 500 °C at a rate of 0.96–3 °C/h. After calcination is carried out at this temperature for 100 hours.

EFFECT: obtained carbon material is characterized by high nitrogen content – up to 32 % by mass, due to which its specific electric resistance is reduced by 100–1,000 times.
