SUBSTANCE: invention relates to matching high radio-frequency (RF) power impedance. A device (30) and a method for automatic tuning and matching comprise a reflected power sensor (32) which detects power reflected from a load (18, 18') and an LC matching circuit, connected in series with the load, being programmable to minimise the reflected power. The LC matching circuit includes an inductor array (34) connected in series with the load (18, 18') and a capacitor array (36) connected in parallel with the inductor array. An array controller (38) configures at least one of the inductor array or capacitor array based on the detected reflected power to minimise the reflected power.
EFFECT: improved reliability of the device.
