FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: linearly polarised light is directed at a sample S via a polariser. Then light reaches a unit 131 of mobile mirrors and a unit 132 of fixed mirrors of a phase changer 13 via the first polarisation plate 9 and the second polarisation plate 11. Beams reflected on these units of mirrors pass through an analyser 15 and with the help of a lens of image generation 17 they generate an interferential image on the light-receiving surface of a detector 19. At the same time the difference of lengths of the optical track between the bundle reflected in the unit 131 of mobile mirrors and the bundle reflected in the unit 132 of fixed mirrors, continuously changes due to displacement of the unit 131 of mobile mirrors, and intensity of the interferential image changes continuously as recorded by the detector 19, which makes it possible to produce a synthesised wave shape, similar to an interferogram, which is exposed to Fourier transform.

EFFECT: possibility to produce amplitude relative to wave length and phase difference of double refraction relative to wavelength.
