FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to balancing equipment, and namely to a balancing device, and can be used to avoid imbalance of a test specimen. The device has a measurement system to determine rotational imbalance of the test specimen, which contains a spindle assembly with a spindle serving to retain the test specimen and rotate it at a test rotation speed, a spindle carrier by means of which the spindle assembly is attached in a movable manner to a machine frame so that the spindle assembly can vibrate in the specified measurement direction as a result of imbalance forces occurring during measurement, and at least one sensor that detects at spindle rotation at least one imbalance variable characteristic occurring in the measurement direction. Besides, the system includes a system for material removal for balancing of the test specimen by removal of the material at the specified point. The measurement system and the material removal system are made so that material removal can be performed when the test specimen is retained in the spindle. Besides, there is a spindle clamp by means of which the spindle assembly without any spindle carrier or at least without any sensor can be fixed by a force created during fixation so that it cannot be moved under action of forces generated by the material removal system.
