FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic separation of fluid containing first particles of magnetic or magnetising material and second particles of nonmagnetic and non-magnetising material to be separated. Device comprises at least two magnetic systems to create magnetic induction B, aligned relative to mid axis M. Note here that adjacent magnetic systems feature opposite system of poles and are located at the distance d between them to develop the field with reversal point. Device comprises at least one feed pipe to transfer fluid. Lengthwise of the latter, at least in the area of magnetic systems, extends plane E directed perpendicular to mid plane M between adjacent magnetic systems. At least, one feed pipeline in direction of fluid transportation has at least one branch downstream of mid axis M. This allows magnetic separation of fluid at the steps that follow. Magnetic induction is created and fluid is forced through at least one feed pipeline between at least two magnetic systems. Said fluid is separated in at least one first phase and at least one second phase. At least one first phase is separated from at least one second phase in the area of at least one branch.
EFFECT: higher separation efficiency.
