FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of producing polyamide acids with a given degree of polymerisation via polycondensation of highly active monomers, which includes mixing a diamine solution with a solid dianhydride of a tetracarboxylic acid and a monofunctional compound. Synthesis is carried out in three steps: polycondensation of the diamine with the dianhydride of tetracarboxylic acid, taken in amount of 0.84-0.98 mol per mol diamine, condensation with the monofunctional compound which is a phthalic acid anhydride, and then polycondensation with the dianhydride of tetracarboxylic acid.
EFFECT: obtaining polyamide acids with a given degree of polymerisation using highly active monomers.
