FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of high molecular chemistry, namely to a method for producing a polyimide binder of polymerization type used for the manufacture of polymer composite materials, which can be used in thermally loaded structural elements of aerospace, shipbuilding, automotive and other high-tech industries. Method for producing a polyimide binder consists in that at least one tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride, an endic anhydride and a primary aliphatic alcohol are mixed in an equimolar ratio. Next, the resulting mixture is allowed to stand and heated to obtain the 5-norbornene-endo-2,3-dicarboxylic acid monoalkoxy ester and at least one dialkoxy ester of tetracarboxylic acid. Then, at least one aromatic diamine is added to the resulting melt and heated.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the amount of volatile substances released during the molding of polymer composite materials, to reduce the time and energy consumption for synthesis of the binder, increase the shelf life of the binder and the operating temperature of the polymer composite materials on its basis.
