FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises heating. At that, into the heating boiler the water is supplied, which is brought to boil by energy carrier. The pressurised steam is pumped through the distributors to the cropping farm, where each plant is provided with a perforated flexible hose with a steam supply regulator, connected to the distributors, which wraps the plant trunk spirally in height. The steam coming out of the perforated hose condenses on the crown of the plants to form an ice crust from frost. Heating the plants and the surrounding area is carried out by reduction of frost penetration due to the ice crust. The lower part of the plant trunk with non-perforated part of the flexible hose is wrapped with polyethylene, and in the upper part there is free outlet.
EFFECT: method enables to increase efficiency of protection of plants against frosts on cropping farms with a large area and productivity of horticultural crops.
