FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing proton-conducting membrane precursors - perfluorinated copolymers with shortened side chains containing sulphonyl fluoride groups. The method includes emulsion copolymerisation of tetrafluoroethylene and 2-fluorosulphonyl perfluoroethylvinyl ether in an aqueous microemulsion of 2-fluorosulphonyl perfluoroethylvinyl ether using a modifying additive - perfluorinated C6-C10 hydrocarbon, used for regulating optimum composition and molecular characteristics of the obtained copolymers.
EFFECT: obtaining a membrane copolymer with a constant composition with optimum electrochemical properties.
