FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: for updating, traction motor of rolling stock motored wheel assembly are dismantled. After dismantling, axle antifriction bearings are removed, seats are cut in motor housing for securing of said axial bearings to weld the beam to said housing for securing of said axial antifriction bearings. Then, motored wheel assembly is replaced by a new one with rolling bearings to fit the housing thereon for rolling bearings to be fitted therein. In assembly, updated traction motor is coupled with the housing of rolling bearings.

EFFECT: longer life.
