SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of forest management and can be used to detach cones, mainly cedar. The method comprises shaking off the ripe cones on the ground. Shaking off the cones is carried out with aerodynamic flow generated by the air flow of the aircraft, acting simultaneously on the cedar branches and cones. When exposed to the air flow generated by the aircraft flying over treetops and acting simultaneously on cedar branches and cones, an aerodynamic flow is created, which creates shock pulses acting on the branches and cones, causing detaching of cones from the branches.

EFFECT: method enables to avoid mechanical damage to the bark and wood of a tree trunk, to shorten the time of harvesting cones, as well as to improve performance.
