FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to hand surgery. A tongue-shaped flap is formed on a back surface of the thumb in a projection of proximal and mail phalanxes. An incision extends from a flap base along a radial-palmar side of the thumb. The flap is transferred onto the radial surface of the thumb within the tissue defect after the deformity correction. The fragments of the proximal phalanx are transposed - a distal fragment of the delta phalanx is transposed onto a cortical plate of the proximal fragment.
EFFECT: method eliminates the multiplane first-beam deformity, improves the function and cosmetic effect by transverse osteotomy of the delta phalanx, correction of the thumb axis and transposition of the distal fragment onto the cortical plate of the proximal one.
