BATTERY, BATTERY MANUFACTURING METHOD AND PACKAGED ELECTRODE Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC H01M10/04

Abstract RU 2546640 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to accumulator batteries. According to this invention the battery is comprised of a packaged positive electrode manufactured by placing a positive electrode into a pack formed by interconnection of at least a part of separator end parts by thermal welding and a negative electrode, which is larger than the positive one and is stacked at the packaged positive electrode. Welded areas of the separator formed by thermal welding are located outside limits of the negative electrode outer periphery when looking in stacking direction.

EFFECT: excluding deterioration of the positive electrode in result of heating used at thermal welding of separators and preventing short-circuiting through the welded areas.
