FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to heat power industry, particularly to issues of energy saving in steam consumers, and can be applied for monitoring of rational steam utilisation in heat exchangers by determination of condensate drain efficiency. Method of condensate drain state monitoring involves measurement of heating steam temperature and pressure, condensate duct wall temperature and pressure in the condensate duct, and additional determination of heating steam mass flow rate and condensate duct diameter, further calculation of heat emission from single-pass steam to condensate duct wall on the basis of heating steam mass flow rate, calculation of heat emission from condensate to condensate duct wall, calculation of saturation temperature corresponding to particular data on pressure in the condensate duct; next, condensate drain efficiency is calculated by heat balance equations using ratio of factor of heat emission from condensate to condensate duct wall to factor of heat emission from single-pass steam to condensate duct wall, and temperature of heating steam fed to the heat exchanger, saturation temperature corresponding to pressure in the condensate duct, and condensate duct wall temperature.
EFFECT: monitoring of rational steam utilisation in heat exchangers.
