SUBSTANCE: device is related to the sphere of corrosion retardation and prevention for metal facilities, including works and structures as well as pipelines transporting liquids and gaseous substances. The device intended for corrosion retardation and prevention for metal facilities is comprised of a unit for generation of a magnetic field and magnetic cores, at that the unit for generation of a magnetic field contains an electromagnet made as at least one solenoid to be connected potentially to a direct-current or alternate-current source while the magnet core is made so that it can form a closed core at the section of a protected facility.

EFFECT: simplified basic diagram, sound orientation of a magnetic field along the whole length of the protected facility and improved efficiency of corrosion protection.
