FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing specimens to corrosive media and testing the specimens after the required period of time. In the said method, parametres of the specimens are measured before and after testing and the degree of corrosive wear is evaluated. The specimen is made in form of a fragment of a thin-walled structure, for instance. The specimen is then mounted inside a test vessel and aggressive liquid medium is poured into the vessel. Further, a stream of bubbles is created in the aggressive medium, either in parallel or perpendicular or inclined at a given angle to the surface of the specimen depending on the test conditions. When analysing effects of the said stream of bubbles on one side of the specimen, the non-working side of the specimen is covered with an anti-corrosion coating or a film. The specimen is held in the given test mode which includes a give speed of the said stream of bubbles, given temperature of the medium, given time interval and volume ratio of bubbles and liquid.
EFFECT: higher measurement accuracy, possibility of determining change in characteristics of the specimens under the effect of the said stream of bubbles and simplification of the method.
