FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises lubricant application on rail head side by movable rail lubing means. Lubricant is applied on rail head side face at friction factor of 0.19-0.2. At ambient air temperature of 40°C to minus 5°C, lubricant is heated to 40-45°C nozzle outlet with viscosity of 0.4-0.8 Pa·s. At ambient air temperature of minus 5°C to minus 20°C, lubricant is heated to 30-35°C nozzle outlet with viscosity of 0.2-0.5 Pa·s. At ambient air temperature of 20°C to minus 45°C, lubricant is heated to 20-25°C nozzle outlet with viscosity of 0.05-0.2 Pa·s. At track curved sections, lubricant consumption makes 15-250 ml/km with application height over rolling surface of 9-12 mm while at straight track section it makes 80-120 ml/km with application height of 7-9 mm from rolling surface Lubricant consumption is selected experimentally to rule out the ingress of lubricant on rolling surface.
EFFECT: decreased wear of wheel-rail pair parts.
