FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: control over welding comprises welding current feed via electrode (52) pressed to metal surface of part (83) to be welded to get welding arc. Thereafter, welding current and time are continuously measured. Besides, supplied power is continuously defined proceeding from said measured welding current and time. Current supplied by DC source (10) is digitally controlled to maintain a constant welding current. Welding current feed is interrupted after feed of required amount of power and that of heat to DC source storage batteries in case their temperature is lower than preset value. Proposed device comprises control module (31) with interconnected central unit (26) and power control unit (28) for continuous measurement of welding current.
EFFECT: invariable welding current, efficient and reliable control over temperature of storage batteries.
