FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation and can be used for separation of ores. Separation of at least one material from the mix containing first and second materials. Note here that this process comprises the steps that follow. (A) Bringing the mix with said first and second material in contact with at least one magnetic particle in the presence of at least one dispersion medium. This allows aggregation of at least first material and said magnetic particle. (B) If necessary, extra dispersion medium is added to that produced at step (A). (C) Separation of agglomerate of at least one first material and one magnetic particle from dispersion of step (A) or (B) at appropriate device. The latter has separation space including at least one device magnetising preferably in lengthwise direction at application of external magnetic field to make agglomerate stick to said device. (D) Separation space is flushed or blown at application of said magnetic field to allow replacement of dispersion medium with lower level of contamination. (E) Removal of agglomerate from magnetising device by removal of magnetic field and flushing the second or modified dispersion medium which contains at least one first material and one magnetic particle separated one from another. (F) Processing of dispersion of step (E) in said device while one first material is left in dispersion. (G) Separation space is flushed or blown at application of said magnetic field to allow replacement of dispersion medium with lower level of contamination. (H) Removal of at least one magnetic particle from magnetising device by removal of magnetic field.
EFFECT: higher separation efficiency.
