SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to an orthopaedic apparatus for the ankle joint, intended for the immobilisation of the ankle joint. The orthopaedic apparatus includes a knitted part, which in its shape in knitted in such a way that it fits the anatomical shape of the calf and foot in area of the ankle joint, and which in a put on position surrounds the ankle joint and adjacent to it areas of the shin and foot from all sides and is made with a possibility of its extension or opening when the apparatus is applied, and tightening and fixing it by means of respective means in a put on position. The orthopaedic apparatus also includes an integral stabilising element with a section for the heel, receiving the heel in it in a put on position with an adjacent to the said section lateral section, passing from the side of the ankle joint, and with an adjacent to it section for the shin, enveloping the shin from the back side. An external side of the stabilising element includes one or more first connecting elements, and an internal side of the knitted side includes one or more second connecting elements in such a way that the stabilising element, inserted into the knitted part is fixed in a detachable way with respect to the knitted part by the connection of the first connecting element or the first connecting elements with the second connecting element or elements.

EFFECT: on one hand, the invention provides very good lateral stabilisation, and on the other hand, is simple in construction, so that it is easy to apply it without large labour consumption.
