FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to forming a radically polymerised coating composition used for vehicle finishing, particularly a car, and methods for curing this coating composition. When forming the cured coating composition, the method for curing uses a coating compound containing the radically polymerised coating compound specified in acrylic compounds, and a borane-organic initiator. The borane-organic initiator contains trifunctional boranes. Curing the coating composition involves several stages. Forming the coating composition involves introducing the radically polymerised compound and the borane-organic initiator on the carrier. The borane-organic initiator forms a complex with a bifunctional non-cyclic blocking agent, which has a carbon basic chain and two components able to form the complex with the borane-organic compound. These two components differ from each other and are specified in a group consisting of an amine component and a thiol compound. Besides, these two components are isolated from each other by carbon atoms in the number of two to four for the purpose of increasing the nucleophilicity of the blocking agent in relation to the borane-organic initiator. That is followed by the de-complex formation of the borane-organic compound and blocking agent to form a radical thereby. Curing is implemented by polymerisation with using this radical.
EFFECT: invention enables increasing the curing rate and efficacy.
