FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of organoborane-amine complex dissociation in coating composition. Method includes stage of introducing organoborane-amine complex, radically polymerisable compound and optionally amine on substrate for coating composition formation. Method also includes stage of introducing carbon dioxide into coating composition in molar ratio, at least, 1:1 of carbon dioxide to free aminogroups, present in coating composition. In particular, reaction of carbon dioxide with free aminogroups results in formation in situ of carbamic zwitterion. Formation of carbamic zwitterions results in dissociation of organoborane-amine complex and radical formation. Radical then is used for polymerisation of radically polymerisable compound.

EFFECT: invention provides reduction of production costs, process complexity and duration, reduction of quantity of necessary stages of synthesis and increase of product output and concentration.
