FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: this invention is based on electromagnetic induction. Conductor moving in magnetic field induces e.m.f. E proportional to magnetic induction B and conductor speed V directed perpendicular to fluid flow and magnetic field motion. Invention can be used for measurement of pulsation of three perpendicular components of stream velocity vector notable varying in velocity and direction at hydrophysical and hydrodynamic analysis. This device incorporates transducer with spherical cowling 8 of electrical insulator therein built is magnetic system. The latter comprises four permanent rectangular cross-section magnets 2 with surfaces of poles conjugated with those of polar tips 3. Said magnets 2 are arranged in pairs in vertical orthogonal planes in symmetry about vertical axis of spherical cowling 8, their like poles facing each other. Electrode system comprises eight measuring electrodes 5 fitted in two vertical perpendicular planes in magnetic system gaps 4 filled with electrically insulating fluid at 45 degrees to its horizontal plane. Electrodes 5 are connected in pairs to inputs of the device measurement unit subtracting amplifiers. Note here that said magnets 2 are secured at vertical nonmagnetic prop 1 extending through the centre of spherical cowling 8. Polar flat tips 3 at poles of magnets 2 have ledges that make eight separate gaps 4. Rod-like measuring electrodes 5 are fitted therein with one end extending to spherical cowling surface 8 whereat eight washers 9 are secured coaxially with said electrodes that feature preset sizes and are made of electrically insulating material.
EFFECT: decreased measurement error, increased spatial resolution.
