FIELD: measurement of flow rate of current conducting fluids. SUBSTANCE: two measurement electrodes are placed in series inside pipe-line behind vortex-forming member in plane passing through axis of pipe-line. They are electrically insulated from pipe-line. Third electrode is connected to pipe-line. Magnetic system forms magnetic field which vector of magnetic induction is parallel to axis of vortex-forming member installed perpendicular to axis of pipe-line. Measurement electrodes are parallel to vector of magnetic induction and their noninsulated parts are symmetric relative to axis of pipe- line. Frequency of variable electromotive forces emerging in system of electrodes is proportional to flow rate. EFFECT: increased noise immunity, expanded dynamic range of measurements to lesser flow rates. 2 dwg
