FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: two pairs of heated temperature transducers arranged in meter working area are used to measure temperature differences of said transducers in every pair. Flow temperature is measured on unheated transducer located in said working area. Flow rate is determined from difference of mean arithmetic value of temperatures of said four heated transducers and temperature of unheated transducer. Flow direction α selected relative to the planes of transducers location in the system of coordinates is defined by relationship at ΔT2>0 α=0°-180°; at ΔT2<0 a=180°-360°, where ΔT1=T1-T2; ΔT2=T3-T4; T1, T2 and T3, T4 - are temperatures of heated transducers in said first and second pairs, respectively. This invention consists in that thermal wind-gage meter of fluid or gas flow rate and direction comprises case 1 composed by thin-wall hollow cylinder secured in meter 2 and staying in contact with said flow. Said cylinder is made of heat conducting material and filled with filler 3 as heat insulation material or air and closed by dome-like cover 10 of heat insulating material. Two pairs of heated temperature transducers 4-7 arranged in meter working area, in two perpendicular planes have a direct heat contact with inner wall of case 1 and their outputs are connected to meter measuring unit. Heater 8 has direct heat contact with said case 1. Unheated temperature transducer 10 is secured at the pin of cover 9 arranged in working area and having the contact with the flow, transducer output being connected to meter measuring unit.
EFFECT: higher sensitivity, lower power input for measurements.
