FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fibre optics and temperature control systems and can be used in fibre-optic gyroscopes (FOG). Design of the thermally stabilized FOG interferometer is based on a fibre-optic coil (FOC), which has no support winding frame (frameless FOC), which is placed in a sealed housing made of material with high heat conductivity (for example, copper, aluminium) to minimize the heating time and uniform distribution of heat flows in the inner volume of the housing filled with heat carrier having damping and heat-conducting properties. Housing contains a compensating unit to exclude the increase in the heat carrier pressure in the housing and the occurrence of additional stresses affecting the FOC during the liquid expansion with the medium temperature change. On the outer surface of the sealed housing there is a heating element made in the form of a conductor with bifilar winding, which is laid in radial slots of the housing. Thermal sensors are installed from the inside along the circumference of the housing (on the inner diameter) to control the temperature of the FOC. From the outside, the sealed housing is closed by a magnetic screen with heat-insulating gaskets from composite materials between layers to ensure the required screening coefficient from external magnetic fields, as well as performing the function of a heat insulator against external temperature effects.
EFFECT: reduced error of FOG at temperature and mechanical effects.
