DEVICE FOR DOSING FEED STOCK SUPPLY TO ALUMINIUM ELECTROLYSER Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC C25C3/14 

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for feed stock supply, in particular alumina, aluminium fluoride, ground electrolyte, to the aluminium electrolyser. The device contains a material dosing silo, a dosing chamber with installed stock and pneumatic cylinder. On stock valve is rigidly secured in top part. At stock end the shutoff element is installed, it contains cone valve, piston and cone cover. At top of the dosing chamber above the silo the loading windows are arranged along the perimeter. Top borders of the loading windows are located above the top position of the valve such that during the stock rifting the valve will agitate the feed stock. Distance from the cone valve base of the shutoff element to bottom edge of the dosing chamber is at least equal to distance from the bottom surface of the valve to the bottom border of the loading windows. The cone cover as part of the lower shutoff device is rigidly installed on the stock. During the stock movement upwards the cover of the bottom shutoff device installed on the stock is centred by the cone valve and piston. The dosed bulk material is loaded in the dosing chamber only with closed bottom shutoff element of the dosing unit output hole, and unloading from the dosing chamber is performed only with closed top valve.

EFFECT: stability of feed stock dose supplied to the electrolyser.
