The method of the complex therapy of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus consists of the daily intake of the cleaned and dried rhizome of Curcuma longa in the form of powder with the specified size of particles twice per day after dinner and supper at the background of the intake of pelleted hypoglycaemic agents without changing the dose and scheme of the drug therapy.

EFFECT: medication produces a direct stimulating impact on β-cells of the pancreas and ensures the development of a hypoglycaemic effect, including early stages of the disease development.
