FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: current transformer (CT) includes primary winding formed by current-carrying wire of circuit, magnetic conductor consisting of at least two concentric overlapping annular cores, and secondary winding encircling a part of the magnetic conductor perimeter. In the first variant, magnetic conductor cores are placed in an annular frame allowing for rotation of at least one core around their common geometrical axis. Secondary winding is made on the annular frame. Magnetic conductor cores and annular frame feature radial gaps to pass current-carrying wire of circuit through. In CT by the second variant, frame is comprised by one of annular cores in the form of hollow ring allowing for rotation of at least one annular core placed inside it around their common geometrical axis. To bring the CT into operational position, at least one of the cores is rotated by a part of full turn around their common geometrical axis.

EFFECT: improved alternate current measurement accuracy.
