FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating, and can be used for surface preparation of the stainless steel items prior to galvanic copper deposition. Method includes items washing in water, degreasing and cathodic treatment in water diluted solutions of the sulphuric acid with concentration 4.9-49.0 g/l or hydrochloric acid with concentration 3.65-36.0 g/l containing 1-4 g/l of NiSO4·7H2O or NiCl2·6H2O. Cathodic treatment of the items surface is performed at cathode current density 2.5-10.0 A/dm2 for 5-10 minutes.
EFFECT: method ensures treatment of the items surface in less chemically aggressive conditions, at that ensuring good adhesion of the copper coating with stainless steel sample substrate, and safer ecological situation of the process.
