SUBSTANCE: method of operation for a double-pipe heat supply system involves supply of network water to consumers from heat source by supply pipeline and water drain by reverse pipeline of heat supply network, water for hot water supply is prepared by mixing network water from supply and reverse pipelines of the heat supply network, where network water temperature in supply pipeline is maintained within 55-105°C and fed to apartment heat supply units of consumers, and hot water supply water is prepared in apartment heat supply units directly before supply to user hydrants.

EFFECT: improved quality and operation cost efficiency of heat supply system due to zero power cost for ware circulation in hot water supply system, supply of required hot water flow with constant design temperature by user hydrants in apartment heat supply units.
