SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in systems for heat supply of consumers. Method for operation of a closed heat supply system, wherein consumers are supplied with mains water from a heat and power plant to cover the heat loads of heating and hot water supply, the water for hot water supply is prepared in an apartment heat station by heating cold tap water by mains water in a hot water supply heater consisting of three stages, the first stage thereof is connected to the direct mains water pipeline, the resulting hot water is directed to hot water taps; in the heating mode of operation of the heat supply system, the mains water output from the first stage of the heater is mixed with the return mains water cooled in the heaters of the heating system, the flow of cold tap water is heated by 10 to 15°C in the third stage of the heater, the smaller part thereof is directed to hot water taps, and the larger part is heated in the second and first stages of the heater; the mains water cooled in the hot water supply heater and in the heaters of the heating system is directed to the heat and power plant; in the non-heating mode, like in the heating mode, hot water from the first stage of the hot water supply heater and heated in the third stage thereof is directed to hot water taps, the mains water released from the first stage is not mixed with the return mains water, and the mains water cooled in the hot water supply heater is directed to the heat and power plant.

EFFECT: reduced consumption rate of hot mains water in an apartment heat system and costs of hot water supply, reduced temperature of the return mains water, increase in the specific electricity generation on heat consumption and the efficiency of the heat and power plant.
