FIELD: printing.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of production of compounds used as colour toners. The present invention provides blue toners and methods for their production. The claimed blue toner comprises at least one resin; optionally wax and dye system comprising violet pigment selected from the group: Pigment Violet 23, Pigment Violet 3, and their combinations, in combination with the blue pigment selected from the group: Pigment Blue 61, Pigment Blue 15:3, Pigment Blue 15:4 , Pigment Blue 1, Pigment Blue 15:1, Pigment Blue 15:2, and their combinations, and the blue toner corresponds to the blue colour from the group consisting of colours Pantone Blue 072 and Pantone Reflex Blue, within the sensitivity of the human eye (ΔE2000) less than 3. The claimed method of production the blue toner comprises mixing at least one resin and at least one surfactant to form the emulsion; mixing the resulting emulsion with wax and the dye system comprising a violet pigment selected from the group: Pigment Violet 23, Pigment Violet 3, and their combinations, in an amount of from about 1.7 to about 3.8% by weight of the toner in combination with the blue pigment selected from the group: Pigment Blue 61, Pigment Blue 15:3, Pigment Blue 15:4, Pigment Blue 1, Pigment Blue 15:1, Pigment Blue 15:2, and their combinations, in an amount of from about 1.9 to about 4.0% by weight of the toner to form a primary suspension; aggregating at least one resin and the dye system under the action of the aggregating agent to form aggregated particles; coalescing the aggregated particles to form the toner particles; and removal of the toner particles, at that the blue toner corresponds to the blue colour from the group consisting of colours Pantone Blue 072 and Pantone Reflex Blue, within the sensitivity of the human eye (ΔE2000) less than 3.

EFFECT: predicting the colour properties of blue toner, which enables to adjust the pigment content and/or weight of toner application per unit of area.
