FIELD: printing.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to resins, suitable for use in toner compositions. More specifically, present invention relates to polyester resins based on biological raw materials, suitable for use in toner compositions, and methods for production thereof. Disclosed toner contains resin consisting of one or more polyester polymers, where at least one of said one or more polyester polymers includes at least one amorphous polyester resin based on biological raw materials, including camphor acid in amount of 1 wt% to 60 wt% with respect to weight of resin based on biological raw materials; and where amorphous polyester resin based on biological material includes at least 45 wt% monomers on based on biological material; and additionally one or more polyester polymers includes at least one crystalline polyester resin, and additionally one or more components selected from a group consisting of pigments, waxes, coagulants and combinations thereof.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing ecologically clean alternative monomers used in production of toner and in production of polyesters for toner, providing resin with sufficiently high glass transition temperature and low equilibrium moisture content, which are desirable properties for electrophotographic charging and merging obtained toner.
