FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of blocks of boards of materials of stone, for example, marble or granite. Working surface is prepared for board or block to be machined to be placed thereon and displaced there over. Block or board are processed by appropriate machine tool. The latter comprises tool rest drive parallel with and perpendicular to said working surface and manipulator including block or board grippers. Said rest and said manipulator are interconnected. Said grippers can displace between first idle position remote from block or board and second working position nearby them. Besides, said grippers can turn between said first and second positions.
EFFECT: no need in linear actuator of vacuum grippers.
