FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bending machine for sheet metal. The machine comprises a load-bearing frame, a punch holder containing an upper beam configured to support at least one set of upper bending tools, a matrix holder containing a lower beam configured to support at least one set of lower bending tools, a tool case configured to accommodate bending tools, and a tool changing mechanism configured to take bending tools from the tool case and install said bending tools in the punch holder and/or the matrix holder. The tool changing mechanism comprises gripping tools configured to simultaneously capture and move the entire set of bending tools. The tool case comprises a set of bearing guides configured to accommodate and move each corresponding set of bending tools and a transferring carriage configured to accommodate a set of bending tools.
EFFECT: as a result, the change of bending tools installed in the punch and matrix holders is accelerated, and the downtime of the machine is minimised.
