FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: method implies compression of gas in a multistage compressor together with a regeneration gas recirculated on one of the compression stages, to produce a compressate, passing of the part of the compressate through an adsorber set at the first regeneration stage as a desorbing agent which is then mixed with the remaining compressate part, the mixture is cooled, separated and sent for drying in the adsorber being in the adsorption stage to produce dry compressed gas, the most of the latter gas is sent to the customer and the remaining part is throttled and sent to the adsorber set at the second regeneration stage to produce the regenration gas. After the second regeneration stage is finished, the adsorber is cooled.
EFFECT: invention provides for efficient gas drying, reduction of the adsorbent loading volume and its expanded service life.
