FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: mesh is suggested, its cells have shape of connected regular polygons, at their tops spheres are located, they are connected with each other by cylindrical jumpers (ribs of polygons), their diameter is 0.1-0.8 of sphere diameter. As a rule, individual mesh cell is made in form of triangle, square, hexagon or rhombus, but can be made in shape of other polygons. At that cell in shape of the equilateral triangle ensures maximum rigidity of the mesh, cells in shape of the rhombus or square are simpler and cheaper in comparison with other, and mesh with cell in shape of regular hexahedron has minimum hydraulic resistance, but is most labour intensive.
EFFECT: mesh minimizes the hydraulic resistance and volume of blind zones created in roll elements.
