SUBSTANCE: device for switching low, medium or high voltage contains an element with chemical charge intended for closing and/or opening electrical contacts; it also contains a firing or burning cable with material of chemical charge in order to fire the above charge. According to the invention material of chemical charge in firing or burning cable is electrically insulating at least in the state before firing and at least along a part of its length.
EFFECT: improving operational safety of the switching device due to effective galvanic isolation between the earth potential and potential of low, medium or high level.
