FIELD: physics, atomic power.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of facilitating nuclear reactor operation. The method comprises generating a request using a human-machine interface (31), which interacts with a computer (32) for facilitating operation, which uses a three-dimensional neutron computation program (32a), which solves a diffusion equation and designated by an operation facilitating program; one-way transmission, from a system (10) for monitoring operation of the reactor core to the computer (32), of a set of data (13) which reflect hardware, geometric, neutron characteristics and operating conditions of the core. Said data (13) are determined by a three-dimensional neutron monitoring program (12) which corrects the isotopic balance of the core as fuel burns up and periodically solves the diffusion equation in real time. The program (12) is installed on a second separate monitoring computer which is designed to determine change in behaviour of the reactor core using the operation facilitating program (32a), where the data (13) are used as input data for the program (32a).
EFFECT: monitoring real, not estimated operating conditions.
