FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: in the method of obtaining a hydrophobic additive for bitumen concrete mix which comprises mixing of oily slime with unslaked lime and the subsequent adding of a heated component, thorough mixing within 20 min. maximum with the subsequent unloading of the obtained granulated product, pre-dehydrated oil slime is used, which contain no more than 20% by weight of hydrocarbons and up to 10% by weight of water, where unslaked lime is added at their ratio 1:0.1-0.2 from the weight of the dehydrated mix, after mixing and obtaining of the uniform mix heated up to the temperature 70°C, the obtained mix is loaded into the high-speed granulator with the rotating rotor fitted with pins for material mixing heated up to the temperature 110-130°C the pre-heated road bitumen is added as a component at the temperature 120-150°C amounting 10-15% of the loaded mix weight, the mixing is conducted at the rotor rotation frequency 500 rpm and the linear speed of the rotor pins 6.5 m/s, therefore the granulated hydrophobic additive is obtained. The method of obtaining of bitumen concrete mix which is characterized by mixing of mixed ingredients heated granite macadam with the fraction up to 5 mm mixed with granite dust, bitumen and a hydrophobic additive named above, and the ration of mixed ingredients amounts: granite macadam with the fraction up to 5 mm mixed with granite dust, the granulated hydrophobic additive and bitumen amounts, %: (88-89):(6-6.5):(5-5.5).

EFFECT: improvement of hydrophobic properties.
