FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing phosphonates of formula (1) , where R1=Me, Et, i-Pr; R2=H, Me, CH2CO2Me; X=CO2Me, CN, CONH2, which are used in chemical industry. In the disclosed method, said phosphonates are obtained from dialkyl phosphites and unsaturated carboxylic acid derivatives using tri-n-butylphosphine as a catalyst at 15-20°C in acetonitrile solution. Concentration of tri-n-butylphosphine in the reaction mixture varies from 5 to 70 mol%. The unsaturated carboxylic acid derivative is added in the form of a solution with concentration of 5 mol/l in droplets to a stirred mixture of dialkyl phosphite and tri-n-butylphosphine. The reaction mixture is held for 0.5-3 hours, followed by removal of acetonitrile by low-pressure distillation and extracting the desired phosphonates from the reaction mixture.
