FIELD: organic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 3-alkyl(aryl)-1-dichloromethylphospholane oxides of general formula (1), which can be used as effective intermediates and ligands in organometallic chemistry and catalysis, as well as in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds with biological activity. The essence of the method lies in the interaction ofα -olefins of general formula (6) with triethylaluminum in the presence of a catalyst zirconacene dichloride Cp2ZrCl2 in an argon atmosphere at a molar ratio ofα -olefin: Et3Al : Cp2ZrCl2 = 10 : 10. 0.5 at atmospheric pressure and 20–40° C for 4–8 hours, followed by cooling the reaction mass to a temperature from -5 to -10° C, adding 15 ml of dichloromethane as a solvent and phosphorus trichloride, taken in a threefold excess relative toα -olefin and Et 3 Al, stirring at room temperature for 2–4 hours and further hydrolysis with distilled water, separation of the organic layer, distillation of the solvent. Next, the organic residue containing 3-alkyl(aryl)-1H-phospholene oxide is boiled in carbon tetrachloride for 8–9 hours, which leads to the target 3-alkyl(aryl)-1-dichloromethylphospholane oxides. In general formulas (1) and (6), R means Bu, Hex, Oct, Ph, Bn.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to obtain 3-alkyl(aryl)-1-dichloromethylphospholane oxides of formula (1) from available starting reagents with overall yields of 85–96%.
