FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method for scheduling with reverse direction grant in wireless communication includes steps of receiving a multi-poll frame of scheduled transmissions for a number of time periods associated with transmission opportunities; transmitting data during a particular one of the time periods associated with a particular transmission opportunity in a first direction according to the multi-poll frame; and evaluating whether to transmit the reverse direction grant. If data transmission is completed in a first direction before the end of a particular one of the time periods, reverse direction grant is transmitted during the particular one of the time periods associated with a particular transmission opportunity in the first direction. The reverse direction grant allows the recipient to transmit data. The method includes receiving data transmitted in a second direction from the recipient during the particular one of the time periods associated with a particular transmission opportunity, wherein the data are sent by the recipient in response to the evaluation by the recipient, based at least in part on the multi-poll frame, of whether to use reverse direction grant, wherein the first direction is opposite to the second direction.
EFFECT: high efficiency of using communication channel bandwidth when communicating with scheduled time periods which grant specific stations access to the channel.
