SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the sphere of electric engineering, in particular to a system and method for the replacement and charge of accumulator batteries in conditions of an unavailable stationary power supply system. The result is ensured due to the system placed in a body of a basic machine that comprises a connecting unit, a drive unit, fixing straps, current leads, a microcomputer, an automatic strap switcher, a unit for the storage of faulty accumulator batteries, a replacement strap. The suggested system allows the placement, identification and selection of its operational mode depending on a unit under test placed in the connecting unit thus, in its turn, ensuring the required level and time for charging of the accumulator batteries.

EFFECT: potential differentiation of replacement modes, delivery and receipt of the accumulator batteries, communication and automation facilities for the performance of works in hard-to-reach areas.
