FIELD: electrical equipment of locomotives.

SUBSTANCE: high-voltage equipment chamber of the main diesel locomotive is a block-modular design made on a rigid metal frame. From the outside, the frame is closed with panels, walls, removable covers and doors, and the electrical equipment of the locomotive is installed inside. The supporting skeleton includes a lower frame and an upper frame, which are connected along the perimeter to each other by vertical all-metal shaped pipes and/or composite beams. The lower frame and the upper frame are rigid welded assembly units of a rectangular shape with a flat base and the same overall dimensions in the base plane, the power part of which is made of steel shaped pipes and/or composite beams. At the same time, the lower part and the upper part of the skeleton of the equipment chamber are made open without removable panels, covers, walls and doors. The battery charger is installed inside the equipment chamber on a swing door with an opening angle of more than 180°.

EFFECT: increased capacity of the working space with reduced overall dimensions and improving access to the installed equipment for installation and maintenance by the locomotive crew.
