FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: dilatometer contains a measuring unit and a heating furnace connected to a temperature registration unit and a temperature control unit. The measuring unit and the heating furnace are installed horizontally. The measuring unit comprises an indicator head with fixed and mobile axes, a pusher linked with its mobile axis and designed as a monolithic quartz cylinder with a diameter equal to the internal diameter of a quartz test tube, and with the flat lower face surface contacting to a sample, the quartz test tube for the studied sample installed in the heating furnace. In the quartz test tube the quartz thrust with a diameter equal to the internal diameter of the quartz test tube contacting to a sample is placed. The indicator head and the quartz test tube are linked by the adapter designed as a hollow cylinder. At the adapter end face from the side of fastening of the quartz test tube the limiter designed as a ring is installed. The adapter is installed with a possibility of movement along the quartz test tube axis and formation of a gap between the heating furnace and the adapter limiter.
EFFECT: improvement of accuracy of determination of temperature coefficient of linear expansion of the samples made of various materials and expansion of functionality of the device.
