FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to electric engineering, and namely to diagnostics of lithium current sources. The method includes discharge of current source to external load and measurement of its voltage under load. At that load resistance is decreased so that current is increased up to the value whereat source voltage under the load differs from voltage in the open circuit per 0.001V, at that the obtained current value is compared to the reference value and when the reference value is exceeded the current source is rejected.
EFFECT: potential non-destructive testing for element of Li/SOCl2 system without loss in capacitance.
