FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to valve industry, namely to remotely controlled ball valves, and is designed for use under cryogenic temperatures, for example, in rocket engineering for start and cut-off of components in engine accessories. A ball valve comprises a body 1 with an inlet reducing coupling 2, an outlet reducing coupling 26 with a hole, a sphere valve 3 with a spline opening and a groove, a shaft 4, a shaft 4 seal and a lower support 5. The groove is provided in the inlet reducing coupling 2 and a seal in the form of a gasket 6 is mounted in it. The seal interacts with the groove surface in the reducing coupling 2 and the edge of the gasket 6 with the sphere valve 3. The shaft 4 is installed at ball bearings 8. A ball bearing 8 interacting with the lower support 26 is mounted in the groove of the sphere valve 3. The inner surface of the gasket 6 edge is provided with an offset with conical surface parallel to the tangent line to the sphere valve 3 circumference.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at design simplification, reduction of turning moment of the sphere valve with the shaft; improvement of the ball valve tightness at large flow passages at operation under cryogenic temperatures of components, and longer service life of the ball valve.
